AGM
Our Annual General Meeting will be held on 15/10/26 at 3pm at Shalford Village Hall
A social event 25/06/26. 12.30 Please RSVP asap
The Committee would like to invite you and your plus one to lunch at The Cranleigh Golf & Country Club ,Barhatch Lane, Cranleigh. GU6 7NG on 25th June.
We plan to meet at the main entrance at 12.30 pm.
The charity will fund the lunch and there is a bar available for you to purchase drinks if you so wish.

A Trip to The Rural Museum. The Reeds Rd, Tilford, Farnham. GU 10 2DL Village At War Event 9th May 1030am.
The charity is planning a trip to this event on Saturday 9 th May meeting at the main entrance of the museum at 10.30 am .
Free car parking available on site.
There will be authentic camps, vehicles and re-enactors in full costume. Plus live music and jive dancing.
Admission fee, tea/ coffee and cake refreshments at 12 midday will be fully funded for each member and their partner or friend.

MAY WE REMIND YOU THAT UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE BEEN OBLIGED TO CANCEL OUR TRIP YO LOSELY PARK ON 25/06/25. It is always helpful if you could let us know if you are coming to an event so we can notify you directly about any changes to our plans. Otherwise please check the website as some arrangements may be cancelled at short notice e.g because of bad weather.
8/5/25: University of Surrey Tasting Menu Dining Experience and VE Day celebrations. Evening event starting at 6.30 May 8th. (This will be fully funded by the charity for each member and their guest). Please join us for this special occasion where you can try meals prepared to different consistencies in a restaurant setting. Drop us an email as soon as possible to let us know if you’d like to come and we can send you more information about the event. We need 30 attendees to make the event viable so please reply by 20th April at the latest:

Guildford Castle Ground Bandstand Concert Sunday 20th July 2pm to 4pm ( Castle Street, Guildford. GU1 3UW).
Staines Brass , is a local band of experienced brass musicians. They play programmes of light popular music across all genres to provide an enjoyable afternoon of musical entertainment.
Please join us and bring a picnic and something to sit on. Let’s hope there will be no need for a blanket and umbrellas! We will meet by the Bandstand at 1.00 pm.
Heritage Open Day 12 -21st September. We will arrange a visit during this time once the programme is released.

It is a Living History Museum, made up of a network of streets that have been recreated according to those found in Victorian and 1930’s Hampshire. We have been moved to The Upper Hall for this meeting. Tamara Kahn is the CEO of Oracle, they are the leading Head & Neck charity in the U.K.
Tamara will discuss the work of this charity and a Q & A opportunity will be available following talk.
April 17 th: Shalford Village Hall Meeting 2.30 pm.
Gemma Harris an Oncology Physiotherapist and founder of the Cancer Rehab Collective, has kindly agreed to attend our meeting . A very experienced practitioner she will show us some exercise routines followed by a Q& A session.
Numerous studies have shown the beneficial effects of Physiotherapy interventions. Cancer and its treatment can result in impairments with assistance from your Physiotherapist patients can again engage in the activities of daily life .

Julie Scrace has kindly agreed to come to our drop in session on 19/09/24 2.30-4 to talk about her road to recovery.
17/10/24 AGM at 2.30 Shalford Village Hall. Followed by the second in a series of talks from members. Immaculate Jeyakumar will be talking about her diagnosis, treatment and her life afterwards.
